Some of my favorite photos I’ve taken are of sunsets. It’s a cliche subject, but watching sunsets will always be peaceful, and these photos help to capture that feeling of serenity and calmness.
Santa Monica Pier, California 2015. One of the first sunset photos I’ve taken, and to this day one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken.
Cambria and Long Beach, California 2018. It was fun for me to return to California and see/photograph more sunsets in new places. The pacific coast is beautiful.Cammans Pond Park, 2018. This pond is very close to my house, only a 5 minute walk. Sometimes you don’t have to go far to see beauty.
Washington DC, June 2019. It’s amazing to see how the sky is painted with every sunset, always in similar yet unique ways. Every sunset has its own color palette and personality.
Venice, Italy 2019. This was taken on the lesser know Giudecca island, and shows the unique characteristics of the “city of water.”Florence, Italy 2019. This one isn’t as much about the vibrant colors, but I like how the tower looks against the lighting and in the composition. Sunsets can create very interesting atmospheres.
