With the outbreak of the Wuhan Coronavirus, the world has been on edge. What one might not necessarily think of, is the amount of conspiracy and misinformation that is being spread about the virus. One of these conspiracies that surfaced on social media compared the logo of a biotech lab in Wuhan to that of The Umbrella Company, from the Resident Evil franchise, citing the similarities between the two. Sounds interesting but also kind of ridiculous to me. However, Snopes has disproved this. Yet, the theories do not end. Some think the virus was intentionally released by the government, some think it was predicted in a simulation, some think Clorox and Lysol knew about it before it spread, the list goes on. The misinformation and conspiracy is spreading like the virus itself.….
